Young Adventurers – Flower and Garden Festival 2008 Edition

2008’s Flower and Garden Festival is right around its midpoint, and this year’s festival has more experiences than ever for the Young Adventurer, filled with familiar faces they know and love.

Pluto’s Play Zone features an interactive play and climbing structure built especially for Adventurers ages 6 to 12. The climber comes complete with spiral slides, cargo nets, springy pads, and airborne tubes, all perfect for honing the skills needed to be a true Young Adventurer.

Minnie’s Magnificent Butterfly Garden is home to such species of butterflies as Black Swallowtail, Cloudless Sulphur, Gulf Fritillary, Julia, Monarch, Painted Lady, and Zebra Longwing. In this grand greenhouse Young Adventurers with a fondness for the beautiful bugs see how butterflies break free from their chrysalises as well as what flowers they find delicious.

The interactive exhibits of Growing Future Gardeners will not only strengthen the bond between Young Adventurers and the world around them, but it will also give them a moment to connect with their Parental Adventurers. Growing Future Gardeners also embraces the inner-ick factor by twice daily, at 1:00pm and 3:00pm, releasing ladybugs.

Young Adventurers who find their way to Peter Pan’s Never Land Garden can explore the second star to the right as never before, especially those Adventurers between the ages of 2 to 5. Here Tiger Lily’s teepee houses activities fit for the younger Adventurers, Fairy Houses fill the gardens, and Captain Hook and Peter do battle in topiary form.

The Garden Town Kid Fun Fair offers interactive exhibits for Young Adventurers of any age, as well as the Parental Adventurers in your crew.
