With candy canes and silver lanes aglow

All right boys and girls, and the boys and girls that still live inside all of us big people, it’s that time of year when we stop thinking about what is good for us and start thinking of what is good for our tummies! As we round the corner towards that final sprint towards the end of the year, a seasonal favorite is about to make its return to the Main Street Confectionery. I am obviously speaking of the Candy Cane Fudge!

The Candy Cane Fudge comes around every December in a playful marbling of pink and cream colors, with bits of candy cane hidden within and sprinkled on top of each piece. Now, I’m the first to admit that I expected something in the vein of peppermint gum in the terms of flavoring, but that is not what you get with the Candy Cane Fudge. Each bite reveals a luxurious buttery flavor, with a hint of peppermint acting as a surprise burst upon my tongue every so often. The closest comparison I can come up with are those multicolored after dinner mints, but with much more craft, better ingredients, and a heck of a better end result!

There are a lot of holiday treats out and about in Walt Disney World this time of year, from ice cream to adult beverages, gingerbread to cocoa and a whole mess of sweets in between, but the Candy Cane Fudge is absolutely the one item that is not to be missed! Heck, I only hope some turns up in my stocking this year! Do you hear me Santa? I promise I’ve been good!
