Imbibing is, for the most part, a social experience in Walt
Disney World. In Epcot you can drink around the world or huddle together with
friends in La Cava del Tequila. Port Orleans Riverside hosts Yehaa Bob in what
can only be described as an interactive experience that almost certainly
requires an adult beverage. But where do you go, and what do you order when you
want to sit down, relax and let the hustle and bustle of Walt Disney World just
melt away?
You’ve heard me sing the praises of Sanaa quite a bit over
the past few months, and with a menu shake-up coming down the line this won’t
be the last you hear of Sanaa here either, but in addition to great food, Sanaa
is a perfect place to grab a quiet drink. The lounge for Kidani Village resides
in Sanaa, and is tucked away just behind a honeycombed wall where artwork can
be seen from both sides. The lounge is easily passed over, unless you know it
is there.
What beverage would I recommend? Why, the African Starr
Mojito! This specialty cocktail is the combination of Starr African Rum, Van
der Hum Tangerine Liqueur from South Africa, fresh Mint, and Lime. I’m not a
fan of heavy, overly complicated cocktails, I like an adult beverage that is
light and full of fresh flavors and ingredients, and the African Starr Mojito
fits the bill perfectly. The mojito has a citrusy bite that comes from the tangerine
liqueur and the fresh lime, while the sprigs of mint give the drink a straight
from the garden sensation. In fact, if it weren’t for the hard to procure spirits
this would be a very simple drink to make at home!
The fresh flavors of the African Starr Mojito from the
lounge at Sanaa will help wash away the stresses of any day in Walt Disney
World. A quiet place to reflect and unwind, not to mention a great spot to
catch the delicious smells wafting from Sanaa’s kitchen, the African Starr
Mojito will help you recharge and get ready for another day of park hopping.

As many times as I've been to Sanaa, I've never tried this! But it looks delicious...
I love this drink. I especially love to combine it with a late night bread service
