It’s about mid-morning and you, or your child, is looking for
a snack. They’re clamoring for ice cream and you want them to eat something
that is better for them. You buy some time with a trip aboard Dumbo The Flying
Elephant, and that’s when you see it, Big Top Souvenirs!
Sure it says cotton candy on the sign, but you see caramel
apple and think it might be the option to meet both your expectations. But let
me tell you, the caramel apples are not the snack you are looking for. Instead,
you should grab the Chocolate Covered Pineapple Skewer, sometimes mixed with
other pieces of fruit to make the Chocolate Covered Fruit Kabob.
The pineapple is not the hard core of the pineapple, and it
isn’t under ripened either. This is tender, pull apart pineapple that will get
stuck in your teeth, the pieces you really want to eat. The chocolate, and
white chocolate drizzle, is thick and comes off in bark-like chunks. It is
going to be a constant struggle to catch the pieces of chocolate as they fly
off the skewer, and faces are going to be works of art in juice and melted
chocolate. It is going to be a disaster, and you’ll love every smile filled
giggle outburst it creates!
Short and sweet, this is how you eat fruit on vacation!
Okay, yes, I’d love it if a piece of fruit was just as appealing to children and
families, but taking a sweet, succulent fruit, coating it in chocolate, and
jamming it onto a stick is a guaranteed smile generator. The Chocolate Covered
Pineapple Skewer is messy and juicy and something I would definitely get again,
especially if I need a jump-start to my mid-morning!

Oh my goodness! I haven't been to WDW since the Fantasyland expansion and now I am going to have to try one of these skewers on my next trip. Thanks for sharing!
